How to Live Like “That Girl” This Summer with this Ultimate Guide

Let’s start with the routine:

Okay, I know waking up early is one of the top things when it comes to being that girl, but it’s SUMMERTIME! Sleep in a little.

Main Character Morning
Start the day with the right music! As soon as you get out of bed, press play on a playlist.
These are songs that I enjoy! I’m TELLING youuuuu. It’s a vibe. It’s giving “I’m the main character in a coming of age movie” lmao 😂

& then dive right into self care! Hydrate, hygiene & hype up

Hydrate
While we all know to get in our morning glass of H20, remember to also hydrate with a moisturizing skincare routine.

Usually the morning skincare is short and simple, but if you’re reading this post, you already know that’s not gonna cut it for a” that girl” summer! We go all out – day and night!! 🤪

After drinking water, brushing your teeth, and getting your skin right. Throw on some cute hydrating eye patches as you dance around to the music, take a selfie or two, then get ready for your hygiene routine.

Hygiene Routine
Getting yourself together FIRST can make a big difference in how you move and feel throughout your day. Not only will you feel good, smell good and look good, you will also be ready for anything that comes up throughout the day.

Be ready so you don’t have to get ready.

If someone were to randomly ask you to hang out, you’d be ready to pop out if you wanted to go. I can’t tell you the number of times I missed out on an opportunity to pop out because I had no desire to get ready, smh! Just the THOUGHT of what I would do to my hair was tiring! 😭

Hype Up
When I say hype up, I mean do what you need to get excited for the day and everything it possibly has to offer you. It can be journaling or planning your day, but the most effective thing I do is read my personal vision (coming soon). It works wonders for me and creates the standard for how the rest of my day goes.

Now that you look and feel good and have your mind right, it’s time to enjoy the day! Summertime is the best time to romanticize your life and do outdoor activities. I have a full bucket list of 49+ things that will have you living out your “that girl” summer dreams.

Mood Boards:

From Grocery Stores to Farmers Markets
Search around to find any local stands, festivals, or markets selling freshly grown food and/or hosting events. It’s great for your health and a nice, chill activity to do alone or with friends/family.

Gyming to Swimming
…or other fun outdoor activities. I just wanted my subtitles to rhyme 😅 Here are some ideas:
Go on a hike with friends
Try pilates
Go on a bike ride
Go roller skating

Self Improvement to Self Enjoyment*
Becoming “that girl” is about being the best version of yourself, and now is the time to enjoy the person you have worked hard to become.

Rest IN the improvements you’ve made and let it shine in how you enjoy this season. There is always time to get better.

The version you are right now is perfect, loved, and valued. Show her off!

Plan ahead
When the summer is coming to an end, start getting back into that productive routine. Use how you felt during the summer and think about feelings and/or actions you want to add, delete, or change going into the fall and come back here to see more ways you can look, live, and be the best, most authentic you!
