Sometime as creators we get so caught up in the grind that we forget that it is the journey we need to enjoy! Reaching your subscriber goals and getting monetized isn't just about numbers; it's about the community you're building, the passion you're pursuing, and the growth you're achieving.

I created a way to celebrate my YouTube journey and I wanted to share it with my fellow Youtubers. It's not only fun and cost-effective, but also keeps you motivated and connected to your channel's purpose. Whether you're just starting out or nearing that exciting 100K mark, this guide is for you!

Your Essential Supply List

Here's everything you'll need:

For the 'YT' Jar:

• A clear glass jar: Mason jar, or a decorative canister that speaks to you.

• Craft paint & brushes (optional): For personalizing the jar.

• Vinyl decals or stickers (optional): Custom channel logo, name, or motivational quotes.

• Ribbons, twine, or decorative trim: To adorn your jar.

• Labels or tag blanks: For naming your jar or other decorative labels.

• Permanent markers (e.g., Sharpies): For labeling.

• Adhesive: Craft glue, hot glue gun, or double-sided tape.

For the Mini Champagne Bottles:

• Mini Champagne or Sparkling Cider Bottles: Enough for your chosen major milestones (e.g., one for every 10K from 20K to 100K).

• Small labels or tags: To clearly mark each bottle with its milestone (e.g., "20K," "50K").

• Permanent markers or fine-tip pens: For writing on labels.

For the Milestone Envelopes and Cards:

• Envelopes: Enough for each milestone you plan to celebrate (see list below). Choose a quality you like.

• Blank cards or stationery: For your handwritten messages. Ensure they fit your envelopes.

• Numbered Stickers: For labeling the outside of your envelopes (e.g., "100," "1K," "20K," "100K").

• A nice pen: For writing your heartfelt messages.

This template includes milestones for those just starting out, all the way to 100,000 subscribers!

How to Use:

• Money in Jar: For holding the money for each milestone.

• Champagne Bottle: For opening when goal is achieved.

• Card Action: What to do with your future self messages.

• Goal/Activity: Specific celebration for hitting this milestone.

Envelope Template: Setting Up Your Milestone Messages

Here's how to prepare your envelopes for maximum impact:

1. Gather Your Envelopes: You'll need one for each major milestone. If you're starting from scratch, that's potentially 10 envelopes just to get to 100K.

2. Label the Outside: On the front of each envelope, clearly write or apply a numbered sticker for the milestone you will open it at.

   • Example: For the message you write at 1 sub for your 100 sub self, you'll put "OPEN AT 100 SUBS" or "100 subs" on the envelope.

3. Card Inside: Slip your handwritten message into the correctly labeled envelope.

   1. Each card will have an amount to save, an action to do, and an activity to celebrate.

4. Seal and Store: Seal the envelope and store them safely together, perhaps in a special box or drawer, so you can easily access the next one when a milestone hits.

   
   

If you are starting from scratch you need 19 envelops in total (subs and watch hours)

• $1 (1 sub) + $10 (100 subs) + $50 (500 subs) + $100 (1,000 subs) + $50 (5,000 subs) + $100 (10,000 subs) $20 (20K subs) + $30 (30K subs) + $40 (40K subs) + $50 (50K subs) + $60 (60K subs) + $70 (70K subs) + $80 (80K subs) + $90 (90K subs) + $100 (100K subs)

• $10 (1,000 WHrs) + $20 (2,000 WHrs) + $30 (3,000 WHrs) + $40 (4,000 WHrs)

For Beginners (Starting from Scratch!):

Example: 1 Subscriber: "The First Step Spark"

• Money in Jar: $1

• Champagne Bottle: N/A (too early for bottles!)

• Card Action: Write a message to your 100 Subscriber self. What are your hopes, fears, and dreams for your channel right now? What do you want to accomplish by 100 subs?

• Goal/Activity: Share your very first video with one supportive friend or family member. Announce your channel on one social media platform. Celebrate simply – maybe a favorite snack! This reinforces stepping into the creator role.

1,000 Subscribers: "The Monetization Mark!"

• Money in Jar: $10

• Champagne Bottle: N/A (still holding out for the bigger bottles!)

• Card Action: Read your message from 500 subs! Write a new message to your 5,000 Subscriber self.

• Goal/Activity: Research YouTube's Partner Program requirements. Consider applying if you meet the watch time criteria. Treat yourself to flower and a mini cake. Have an at-home photoshoot and share your accomplishment.

For Channels Beyond 10K:

Example: 70K Subscribers: "The Trip Planning Kick-Off"

• Money in Jar: $70

• Mini Champagne Bottle: Pop open your 70K bottle!

• Card Action: Read your message from 60K! Write a new message to your 80K Subscriber self.

• Goal/Activity:

  • Start concrete planning for a trip for 100K! Research destinations, look at potential dates, set a budget, and start a dedicated "trip savings" fund.

100K Subscribers: "The Grand Adventure & Gratitude"

• Money in Jar: $100

• Mini Champagne Bottle: Open this one!

• Card Action: Read your message from 90K! This is the culmination of all those messages!

• Goal/Activity:

  • GO ON YOUR TRIP! Have fun and vlog (or not). Enjoy your work and the reward. Don't for get to thank your audience and the loved ones who've supported your journey. You can plan a major "Thank You" post or live event for your community.

You can keep this going to 1M and beyond or use the money you saved to treat yourself or reinvest back into your channel
