5 Items You Need for An Organized and Aesthetic Closet

I organized my closet and I found that there were a few items that helped me get my desired look with my space. Here are 5 items you need to organize your closet and have it look amazing!

Velvet hangers

When it comes to organizing your closet, hangers are an important piece. The type of hangers you use are even more important! Depending on how much space you have, you want to be thoughtful with the pieces in your wardrobe you hang and the ones you decide to fold. Velvet hangers are perfect because they are slim, non-slip, and come in many colors. These hangers are a must in my closet and some come with a hook, which makes putting outfits together easier and maximizes space.

Hooks

Over-the-door hooks also optimize closet space. You can hang anything from robes to bags and have them nicely concealed behind the door. I like to use my hooks for my purses (as shown in the video). I also like to use them to separate outfits that I created so it’s easy to get ready.

Plants

This is something I do not see often. Faux plants in your

closet are a great way to add life to your space and tie your closet in with the rest of your home. My closet has french doors, so you can see how my items are organized and the plants are the finishing touch that freshens up my space. Try it and see if you like it. I got my plants from Target.

Stuffing

Speaking of stuffing, it is essential to keep some to insert in your bags and shoes after each use. Just save the paper from any shoe/bag purchase. It’s free and will allow your bags and shoes to hold its shape. Make sure you have a designated spot to hold any loose paper stuffing to keep things organized.

Shoe bins

Remember shoe bins are not just for shoes. You can place anything that fits inside them and because they are stackable, they make great use of vertical space. I placed sneakers in one, multiple pairs of sandals in another, and shoe stuffing in a different one. Mine are the Sterilite Storage Box with clear lids.
