1. Stay In Bed

Yes, you read that right. When it's especially hard to get up, stay in bed. There are times that I'll get up, turn off my alarm, and get right back in bed. Some days my body is not with the shits and that's okay! You don't have to wake up super early to have a day that is deem as successful or good. Now when I say stay in bed, I don't mean go back to sleep. What I do that works instead and what I recommend you try is grabbing your phone and listening to something that gets you excited about the day to come. No scrolling on social media. Listen to a podcast, audio book, or a sermon and be still. Do that until you feel ready to start your day – a new day you are blessed to see.

If you could spend your mornings anywhere in the world, where would it be?

2. Use This Proven Tip That Works

The key to a good tomorrow is a prepped today. What do you want to get done tomorrow? What feelings do you want to feel? How to do you want to move. Think about these things, Prep food, clothing, etc. and see what you can do right now that will make your desired tomorrow a reality and have the next morning run smoothly

3. Try This Raved About Tool

On weekdays, I like to get up a little bit before sunrise and I use a gentle wake alarm app called Sleep Cycle to help me wake up with ease.

Another option that is highly recommended but many are sunrise alarm clocks. They mimic the rising sun by gradually growing from a dim to a bright light. The right one may be effective at helping you feel less groggy when you wake up.

OR save money and use nature! Keep your blind open or curtains light color to allow the sun to wake youe up natural then go outside or sit in a place that gets good natural light so your body knows it's time to get up.

Like I mentioned prior, You don’t have to wake up at 5am (when it’s pitch black) or use a bunch of gadgets like a sunrise alarm clock to have a successful morning routine and be productive. It’s more about how you use your time.

This is the Philips SmartSleep Sunrise Alarm clock. It is considered the best overall.

If you want a cheaper option here is the hOmeLabs Sunrise Alarm Clock. It's one of the best budget friendly option!

4. Wear These To Ensure Your Success

When I was in high school, I struggled to get up because I didn’t want to leave my warm bed. Not only was I constantly cold, my house would feel the coldest in the morning. To combat this, I had and still have a fuzzy robe and slippers I keep by my bed that I put on as soon as I get up.

If you face the same or similar issues, have a sweater, robe and/or warm slippers by your bed ready to throw on when you wake up. Another great, but extra ass option is to get a towel warmer to keep your robe and towel it. Imagine have a warm towel to warp your body in when you get out of the shower on a cold dark morning... Absolutely amazing.

5. This is Something You Probably Already Do

I enjoy playing my morning playlist on my speakers as I make my bed, open my blinds, and complete my routine. Sometimes a good set of songs is all you need to help you get going.

Put all your favorite tunes in a playlist that is going to put you in the mindset to live out a new day in the best way. Make sure to listen to songs that inspire you to be productive and make you feel happy as well as confident. This also goes for podcasts or audio books.

6. Drink This to Improve Your Morning & Digestion

On winter mornings, I like to consume warm beverages. It facilitates digestion and is another way to help me stay warm and comforted when it's dark and cold. Make the drink something you look forward to. Make it beautiful to look at and even more beautiful to taste. I like to drink tea and I'm extra so I put my bev in a cute tea cup with edible flowers, fruit slices, or leaves depending on what I'm having.

7. Change the Way You Get Active with These Options

Wake up and go for an indoor walk. Do yoga, dance while you listen to your morning playlist, do active housework, or go ice skating in place of a morning workout. Just get that body moving!

8. Don't Do It Alone

Having someone you wake up with that keeps you accountable is sometimes the most effective option. Ask loved ones or join a community that motivates you.

9. Create The Ultimate Daily Grind

While I sip my warm drink, I look over my vision board and write 10 visions/goals I have for myself or feelings I want to experience, which then gets condensed into my 3 to-do’s for the day.

Do you have something you want to work towards? Make that goal and vision part of your daily routine and it will be constantly present in your life – have that quiet and reflective time before diving into your day.

Even if you’re the laid back type, knowing what you want to feel as you move throughout your day can keep you aligned with living the life that serves you. This can look like lists, visualization, meditation or prayer – whatever works for you. Grind for your peace and wellness and everything else will flow!

10. Use This One Simple Trick to Give You Energy

Breakfast is my favorite meal and I love quick and simple meals like yogurt bowls, smoothies, and oatmeal. Eat a nutritious breakfast or have something that’s going to give you the energy needed to live, laugh, and love throughout your day!

How are your mornings? Do they change with the seasons? Mine does. Winter mornings move slower for me.

Your Day Didn't Even Start Yet and It was Successful

If you do nothing else, just know that you've already had a successful day!

When it’s dark and cold, create more light and warmth. That light can be literal like a sunrise alarm clock or metaphorical like a song that lightens your mood. Once you find what works for you, getting up early will become natural.

What takes up the first moments of your day?
